WHO WE ARE

GradHat offers qualifications for international students who would like to pursue their undergraduate level degrees with UK universities. GradHat qualifications are developed, evaluated, offered and assessed to match the expectations of the FHEQ (Framework for Higher Education Qualifications) level 5 or SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) level 8.

WHAT WE DO

Our international qualifications are offered through our delivery partner Higher Education Institutions (HEI) around the globe. In order to ensure the quality of our qualifications and student experience GradHat promotes TESTA model with its delivery partners.

Student academic progression is of great importance to us, therefore, we have partnered with universities across the UK to offer students the opportunity and flexibility to top-up their qualification to an undergraduate degree qualification (level 6).

PROSPECTIVE PARTNERS

GradHat has a wide range of international partnerships agreements with universities and higher education institutions worldwide. These include progression route partnerships and overseas delivery partnerships. GradHat offers partner universities in the UK the opportunity to promote their undergraduate and postgraduate courses with its overseas delivery partners.

GradHad’s aim is to build on the success of the international strategy to widen its range of international collaborative partnerships for mutual benefits. Overseas higher education institutions who are aspiring to becoming a collaborative delivery partner with GradHat, please contact the partnership team for further details.

BECOMING A PARTNER

Expression of Intent

Document Submission

Due Diligence

Terms Approval

Partnership Approval

This is the most preliminary stage of the process of becoming a GradHat partner. In this stage a prospective partner will register their intent of becoming a partner with GradHat by formally expressing their interest of partnership to our partnership team by an Expression of Intent (EOI). EoI is a formal letter which should describe the nature of prospective partnership and a short background to the prospective partner.

Partnership team will consider the EOI and request submission of documentation respectively. Documentation will include an application and further details about the prospective partner. Partnership team will guide and advice our prospective partners on the necessary nature of all required documents and information.

Due diligence can only begin on the receipt of all required documentation and information.  This stage involves the review of the documentation submitted with the application. If the information provided is assessed as acceptable, the process moves to the inspection visit to the prospective partner institution.

Inspection will normally, as a minimum, be a one day visit by a GradHat representative, who will focus on the institution’s compliance with statutory requirements, premises and health and safety, management, the adequacy of the teaching resources for the proposed or planned courses, and staff and student records. A check-list of the documents which need to be prepared for the visit will be forwarded to the institution prior to the visit.

Delivery partner institutions are expected to pay all of the expenses associated with the inspection visit for partnership before the next stage of the partnership process. Institutions that do not conform to this requirement will be assumed to have withdrawn from the partnership process.

Due diligence is based upon the inspection of the full range of the institution’s provision and supporting activities, together with a detailed consideration of the institution’s documentation, which helps to ensure that a future partnership could be maintained at acceptable levels. The outcome of the due diligence will be discussed with the institution.

A successful due diligence will move to the stage of negotiating and agreeing the terms and conditions of the partnership. At this stage a document stipulating the definition of terms will be produced, this document will describe mutually agreeable payments, compliance with statutory requirements, premises and health and safety, management, the adequacy of the teaching resources for the proposed courses, and staff and student records. On the completion of this stage a fee of partnership becomes payable.

On successful agreement of the terms and the receipt of the payment of partnership, a partnership approval certificate will be issued to our new partner institution.

Once entered into a partnership, institutions will be provided with GradHat logo and approved wording for marketing use. Partner Institutions are entitled to use the GradHaT logo and any promotional materials produced by GradHat as long as they retain their partnership.
